About Educatrix Seminars

With over 20 years of healthcare experience, I know first-hand the burden of keeping your credentials and certifications up to date.  Going through the monotony of hearing speakers’ voices drone on and on in addition to while trying to spend thousands on conferences and travel while obtaining continuing education is not new to me. In 2021, I pivoted to create solutions to solve this struggle.

I started in the healthcare field as a candy striper in 1991. Since then, I have worked in a medical office in a front desk position, medical records, medical assistant, and birth certificate registrar. In 2003 I graduated from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (now known as Advent Health University) with an associate degree in Nursing. While working on an oncology unit, I went back and obtained my bachelor’s degree from the same university and graduated in 2005. Shortly thereafter I began travel nursing and ended up going back to school for my master’s degree in Nursing, graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2011. I continued to work in oncology, this time in outpatient. In 2017, an 18-wheeler rear ended me, causing back and neck injuries that rendered me disabled. Since that time, I have been looking for a job that I am physically able to do, thus Educatrix Advanced Practice Seminars was born. While unable to participate in direct patient care, I feel fulfilled in being around my peers and indirectly affecting patient outcomes by delivering diverse education with timely content in a small setting. I look forward to meeting you at the next event!
