Dr. Cynthia Lankford is an advocate for holistic well-being and personal and professional development. She believes that overall health functions in parallel with how well one performs tasks to include critical thinking, temperance, learning and application, and decision-making. She understands the competencies of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills) and purposes to practice them to assist others in creating holistic balance while cultivating professional abilities.
Dr. Lankford earned her Master’s in Applied Psychology from Sacred Heart University and her Doctorate in Leadership from Carolina University, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude, respectively. Her professional experience includes human resources and partnership building, workforce development, project management, health administration, and higher education. Dr. Lankford has attained the education and experience necessary to make her proficient in analyzing organizational culture, internal reward systems, communication, and ethics that impact organizational success.
She has a practical understanding of employee behavior, teamwork structure, interpersonal conflict, leadership, power structure, and the social factors that influence individual behavior and group interactions. She has learned how to unlock employee potential with self-critique and understanding, ethical and strategic thinking, and fair-minded supervision and evaluation while promoting successful internal and external partnerships. Dr. Lankford is an advocate of the components of emotional intelligence and cultural competence which generate the building blocks that foster progressive work environments. She also believes that professional training and development, creativity, and forward-thinking cater to transformational leadership and relationship that create resilient diverse, and inclusive communities.
